Chiang Mai Sunset Tethered Hot Air Balloon Experience with Dinner

At Balloon Chiangmai by Tethering Balloon Thailand, we offer a tethered hot air balloon experience in Don Kaeo, Mae Rim, Chiang Mai. Unlike a free-flying balloon, our balloon remains connected to the ground by secure tethering ropes while rising vertically above the surrounding farm area.

The experience takes place in the late afternoon, allowing guests to enjoy elevated views around sunset. Each balloon ride lasts approximately 5 minutes, while the complete activity program runs for around 2 hours. Balloon operating height and basket capacity depend on weather conditions, passenger weight and aviation safety requirements.

The program also includes a hot pot dinner, and round-trip hotel transfer from Chiang Mai city is available as part of the published experience package.

Experience Itinerary

- 15:30-16:30 - Pickup from your hotel in Chiang Mai city.

- Transfer to the tethered balloon activity location in Don Kaeo, Mae Rim.

- 16:30 - Activity program begins.

- Board the tethered hot air balloon for an approximately 5-minute ride.

- Enjoy elevated views while the balloon remains secured to the ground by tethering ropes.

- Enjoy the included hot pot dinner during the activity period.

- 18:30 - Activity program ends and return transfer begins.

- Approximately 18:30-19:00 - Return to Chiang Mai city.
