Bangkok Pottery Workshop Experience at Palm Pottery Studio
At Palm Pottery Studio, we welcome guests to a home-based pottery studio in Ratchathewi, central Bangkok. Our creative space offers hands-on single-session pottery experiences for guests who want to explore clay through practical techniques rather than simply observe the process.
Depending on the selected experience, you can work on the pottery wheel, create pieces by hand, combine both techniques, decorate ceramics using sgraffito, practise mindfulness with clay, or create a cut-out ceramic piece. Pottery sessions last approximately 2 to 3 hours depending on the selected option, with materials and firing fees included.
Experience Itinerary
- Arrive at Palm Pottery Studio and meet our instructor.
- Receive an introduction to the materials and techniques used for your selected pottery experience.
- Create or decorate your ceramic pieces with guidance from our instructor.
- Use the techniques included in your selected session, such as wheel throwing, coiling, slab building, pinching, slip painting, sgraffito or pattern cutting.
- Complete your pieces for firing according to the inclusions of your selected option.

Wheel Throwing Experience
- 3-hour session
- Learn wheel-throwing techniques for creating pieces such as cups, bowls or plates.
- Includes all materials.
- Includes 3 fired pieces.
- Slip painting or a choice of glaze is included.
- Firing fees are included.
Hand Building Experience
- 3-hour session
- Learn fundamental hand-building techniques including coiling, slab building and pinching.
- Includes all materials.
- Includes 3 fired pieces.
- Slip painting or a choice of glaze is included.
- Firing fees are included.
Wheel Throwing and Hand Building Experience
- 3-hour session
- Combine hand-built pottery with time working on the pottery wheel.
- Includes all materials.
- Includes 3 fired pieces.
- Slip painting or a choice of glaze is included.
- Firing fees are included.
Sgraffito Experience
- 2-hour session
- Decorate pre-made ceramic pieces with coloured slip and scratch your design through the surface.
- Includes 2 pre-made pieces.
- All materials and firing fees are included.
Clay Meditation Experience
- 2-hour session
- Combine a short guided meditation with clay work and mandala-inspired decoration.
- Includes all materials.
- Includes 3 fired pieces.
- Slip painting or a choice of glaze and firing fees are included.
Cut-Out Pot Experience
- 2-hour session
- Choose a pre-made vessel and create your own cut-out pattern with instructor guidance.
- Includes one pre-made piece.
- Materials, a choice of glaze and firing fees are included.
