Bangkok Pottery Workshop Experience at House of Ceramics
At House of Ceramics, we offer hands-on ceramic workshops at our studio in Ratchathewi, Bangkok. Our sessions are designed for guests who want to create their own ceramic pieces through handbuilding, electric wheel throwing and coloring techniques.
Depending on the selected experience, you can shape clay by hand or work on an electric pottery wheel before decorating your piece. Selected pieces are fired twice by our studio after the session. No previous art experience is required for our introductory This is Ceramics session.
Experience Itinerary
- Arrive at House of Ceramics and prepare for your selected ceramic workshop.
- Receive instructions for the pottery technique included in your session.
- Shape your ceramic piece by hand or use the electric pottery wheel, depending on the selected option.
- Decorate or color your work according to the selected workshop.
- Leave the completed piece with our studio for the required firing process.
Experience Options
This is Ceramics Experience
- 2-hour introductory ceramic session.
- Includes 400 g of clay.
- Includes 3 paint colors.
- Video-based instructions with additional assistance from studio staff.
- Create your own ceramic piece without requiring previous art experience.
- Includes two firings: approximately 800 C and 1,200 C.
- Available on weekdays.
- Session times: 10:00-12:00 or 13:00-15:00.
Wheel Throwing and Coloring Experience
- 2-hour session.
- 1 hour of electric wheel throwing.
- 1 hour of coloring.
- Create 1 finished ceramic piece.
- The studio double-fires the completed piece.
1-Day Color Slip Handbuilding and Coloring Experience
- 3-hour session.
- Includes 1 kg of clay.
- Create your piece using handbuilding and coloring techniques.
- The studio double-fires the completed piece.
