Kamala Beach, a small resort town on the west coast of Phuket Island, is only a 30 minute short drive from Phuket international Airport. Kamala is an old fishing village and even today, despite the increase in tourism, you can still enjoy a “local experience”. You can often witness the long tail boat fishermen fixing their nets and preparing their vessels for fishing, as well as the local community going about their daily lives in a traditional way.
